In times of natural disaster, climate disaster, and social/political unrest, our frontline basebuilding organizational members function as first responders. Using our lived experience and shared wisdom, we’ve developed a practice and culture of mutual support and Just Recovery that is bottom-up.
During times like these, CJA is situated to provide various forms of support to 
our members including:
- Collaboration: from holding space for member-to-member dialogue to providing co-learning spaces, trainings and technical support.
- Organizing and policy support: from gathering visionary proposals for long-term Just Recovery to monitoring policy.
- Narrative and communications: from maintaining a network of frontline spokespersons to coordinating fronline op-eds.
- Direct regranting to meet members' needs.
